How commission works
Our partner terms are a 10% commission on room revenue when a group books, paid after the event on actual pickup, the way you already pay travel agents. Nothing is due if the group doesn't book.
Who our planners are
People who know venues. They confirm every request before it reaches you, and they read contracts closely on the planner's behalf.
Who the groups are
Small organizations: nonprofits, associations, chapters and boards.
What commission does and doesn't buy
- We disclose every property’s commission rate to the client on the comparison. We also rank bids purely on the client’s total cost — and our software is built so the ranking function has no access to commission data at all, with an automated test that fails the build if anyone changes that.
- You can offer a higher commission on dates you’re trying to fill. It will be recorded, disclosed to the client, and paid. It will not move you up the comparison.
- Commission rate is never a tier criterion. Tier affects which requests we bring you first; it has no effect on how a bid ranks.
Questions venues ask
- Is there a fee to join?
- No listing fee and no charge for receiving requests. Commission is the only cost, and only on a group that books.
- When is commission due?
- After the event, on actual pickup: the rooms the group used, not the rooms it contracted.
- What if we have no guest rooms?
- Commission is 10% of the contracted meeting-space rental. Food and beverage is not counted.
- Does a higher commission move us up the comparison?
- No. Bids are ranked on the client’s total cost, and the ranking never sees commission. We show every property’s rate to the client.
